The Washington State Auditor has just completed an audit of Mountain View Fire and Rescue for the year 2016. While State Law does not require that an audit of the Fire District take place each year, the elected Board of Fire Commissioners asks the State Auditor to audit the District every year. This year’s audit took place in 2017 for the year 2016.
The District is proud to announce that, once again the District has had a State Audit of Finances and Compliance completed with no “findings”, letters or deficiencies.
The Administration and Board of Fire Commissioners work hand in hand to ensure that the District is a good steward of public funds, while at the same time, providing the best emergency services that we can based on Budget limitations.
